Downtown Yarns

Amazing yarn store! I went here on a Wednesday at around 1:30 PM and there weren't many people in the store. The owner was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and assisted me in picking knitting needles. I just decided to get into knitting as an already experienced crocheter, and going to this store was a good decision. Although the store isn't big, they have a wide selection of yarn with different colors and textures. I also appreciate that they have small samples of what the yarn would feel like once you knit it. The yarn is fairly priced and high quality. They have everything you need to get started on knitting, crocheting, and felting. They also wind the yarn for you if you wish, but sometimes the wait is a bit long. I decided not to wait, but it's easy to wind yarn by yourself at home with just your hands. This store is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! Plus, you can support a small business. The vibes are immaculate, and I left the store quite happy with my purchase. Not my favorite yarn store. I’ve been to many yarn stores. They’re not community oriented. My last two experiences wasn’t that comforting. The prices are reasonable, However, When I asked one of the employees about A certain item they were very dismissive. I feel like they can improve in customer service and over all their kindness. I believe if you’re servicing the community should be well prepared on how to communicate with the public. They need some more customer service training.

I spent a lot of time in this place. The lady that works here was very helpful and patient. They have good knowledge about the different types of yarns they sell. They also roll the yarns for you. This place felt like an attraction. There are so many projects in this store. I live far away from this place but it was worth traveling to.

I love their yarns! Some are very colorful, different materials. Lots of yarn options. Good quality with good price! The attendat is very accomodating with all my questions and willing to assist me look for the specific yarn i was looking for. They have some displays of finished yarn products you can get inspired. As i know nothing about yarn, she explains to me the types of yarn and their use. I was here to shop for a friend who is into knitting. Very accesible, theres metered parking right in front of the store, bus stops are close by, F train is few blocks away.
